The spine is composed of 26 vertebra, stacked one on top of another. Each vertebrae has a cartilaginous cushion between them called the inter-vertebral disc. As we age, weight and gravity put pressure on the discs, causing them to bulge, thin, or herniate. This results in the nerves that exit from between the vertebra to become impinged. Chiropractic adjustments along with spinal decompression, help to improve the motion of the spine, and remove the pressure from the nerves. This allows the cartilage and nerves to heal properly.
We've upgraded to a newer traction device that is used to apply the pulling. It's smoother, and holds the precise amount of traction programmed. The belts are also improved, no more snaps, and it is more comfortable.
